Backstage project tools are used for performing file operations such as creating, opening and exporting OpenBuildings Energy Simulator.

Projects can be created, or invalid DGN's be promoted creating a new projects. Projects can be created using existing project templates, by saving existing projects as new projects, by importing Analytical Space Models (ASMs) created in OpenBuildings Station Designer, or by importing data from a gbXML file.

The backstage tools are accessed by clicking the File tab from the main ribbon. Main tools such as New, Save As, Import, Export, Print etc., are executed interactively using the secondary interface.
